Best Practice Network: International workforce

International Recruitment
and Workforce

The network is for those who work with recruitment, onboarding, or inclusion of international employees in a company that already hires foreign labour — or is ready to take the first steps.
The network creates a space where both small and large companies can meet and benefit from each other's experiences and perspectives, regardless of whether participants work in HR, Global Mobility, or another department.

By exchanging knowledge and ideas, we become better equipped to tackle the challenges and opportunities that come with a more international workforce.

The network is currently active, and four new meetings have been scheduled for 2026.

International Employees
– Is Your Company Ready?

The number of international employees in the Danish workforce has doubled over the past ten years. From 2022 to 2023, foreign nationals accounted for more than 90 percent of employment growth, and with a continued outlook of labour shortages, this development is expected to continue.

Foreign labour is no longer just a supplement – it is a necessity for both business growth and Denmark’s welfare.

Even if your company is not currently recruiting international employees, it may still be beneficial to start considering the initial steps. By doing so, your company will be better prepared to recruit and include international employees and better equipped to meet the expectations of future colleagues and the wider community.<
