hello
FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is an important part of creating innovative and exciting projects. And at Hello Aarhus, it is a shared effort. Together with our partners, we work to identify funding opportunities and support the development of initiatives that strengthen Aarhus as a city where internationals can start, grow, and stay. By connecting knowledge, ideas, and organizations across the ecosystem, we aim to unlock new opportunities and turn great ideas into impactful projects.

Do you have a project idea?

Our fundraiser supports Hello Aarhus partners who want to develop projects within the international agenda in Aarhus.

This could be larger development projects focused on onboarding international employees in companies, initiatives strengthening local communities - or something entirely different. We can help you with:

  • Idea development
  • Identifying relevant partners and strengthening your project
  • Fundraising strategy and guidance on relevant funding opportunities
  • Feedback on funding applications

Best Practice Network: Fundraising

Hello Aarhus’ Best Practice Network on fundraising is an emerging community for organizations working with international initiatives in Aarhus who want to strengthen their fundraising skills and develop strategic partnerships.

Whether you are new to fundraising or already experienced, you are welcome to join. What matters most is curiosity and a willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the network. We meet four times a year to exchange experiences, give each other feedback on funding applications and project ideas, gain new insights through professional presentations, and strengthen our network across the city. Together, we aim to stand stronger and contribute to making Aarhus an even better city for international talent and newcomers.

Guidelines for the
Best Practice Network

  • One seat per organization in the network.
  • The network meets four times a year.
  • Meetings rotate between participating organizations (Hello Aarhus can also assist with meeting facilities).
  • Together with Hello Aarhus, the network is responsible for shaping the professional agenda of the meetings.
  • The network is for Hello Aarhus partners working with internationalization. Previous fundraising experience is not required, but participants must have an interest in working with fundraising and be curious about the potentials of knowledge-sharing.
  • If you work with the international agenda in Aarhus and wish to be a part of Hello Aarhus, we always welcome new partners (free of charge). Read more about joining here >

The purpose of
Best Practice Network

  • To support Hello Aarhus partners in their work with fundraising, strategic partnerships, and project development within international initiatives in Aarhus.
  • To provide a space for practice-based knowledge that creates value for the participating partners.
  • To strengthen the professional and personal network among the people participating in the network.
